I invited close family and friends for a shabbat meal. We ate traditional foods like: challah, matzoh ball soup, and Israeli salad. The most memorable parts were showing the prayers to my not-jewish friends, and baking challah with my dad for the first time.
I invited my cousins over for a Shabbat meal this past weekend. I served mostly Mediterranean foods. It was very nice having everyone gather together for a Shabbat meal, and I hope to invite them back again soon.
I invited 15 of my college friends over after I came home from Israel. 12 out of the 15 friends were Jewish. We cooked Shakshuka, noodle kugel, roasted vegetables, butternut squash ravioli and three different salads. For dessert we bought baklava and made a chocolate cake. We lit the Shabbat candles, said the motzei and kiddush and began our meal. This experience was the most fun I'd had in a while. I loved hosting Shabbat and want to do it again next week!
