This video gave me some good insight on how to strengthen my relationship with my partner. I especially took to heart the part Tal talked about when he said that in order to have the potential for a healthy, long lasting relationship, you must learn to appreciate the good aspects of it - good aspects of both yourself and of the other person. If you appreciate the good, the good appreciates. And conversely, if you do not appreciate the good and take it for granted, then the good depreciates. This is sound advice not just for intimate relationships, but for life in general, as well.
In every relationship, there is no such thing as perfect. instead there is always a way to find the good and that is what we should focus on. I have had relationships that mean a lot to me so that is why I try to keep only positive people around.
This video gave me insight into the idea of relationships and how to think about them in a new way. Sometimes we put pressures on relationships and don't know how to be happy in them. However, this video gave some good insight into tools for being happy in them.
Relationships are not easy, they take hard work and effort. This video is a reminder that both parties need to put effort in and that you must compromise and work together to have a successful relationship. Relationships whether romantic or otherwise take time and effort to grow and thrive, they do not become "perfect" relationships overnight.
I learned that in order to have a successful relationship, both partners have to work hard to better each other, they have to know each other and be known by the other, and they each must have a positive perception of the other person. It wasn't super clear but it was a nice introduction.
